Founded in 1909, First Church is proud to be affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA) and of the Presbytery of New Hope. We have a history of commitment as a positive force in our community and our world.  We are proud of our mission to serve our community including through the use of our building by public agencies, volunteer organizations and disaster relief teams. As a congregation and individually, we work to make Edenton a wonderful place in which to live.

Our church is committed to an intelligent faith founded both in mind and heart, following Christ’s command to love our neighbors, and guided by the Holy Spirit as we strive for God’s Justice and Peace.

Our service of worship is every Sunday, 11:00 AM, followed by a Fellowship Hour.

We have a superior adult class that meets each Sunday at 9:45 AM. Currently they are studying “The Evolution of God” by Robert Wright. Please feel free to worship with us and to attend the adult class. It is a lively group!

We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month.
